Selcan Kula BA (Hons) Art & Design By photographing the chemical process of various substances my work is set apart from conventional ways of image making. Through these experiments I allow matter to become expansive and convert into organic, amorphous forms that create an illusion of depth in the two dimensional surface of the photograph. Delicate, yet powerful images capture the distinctive essence of ambiguity, being frozen in time, but still moving eternally. The final aim is to challenge the viewer’s perception while playing with the inherent expectations of the photographic medium.
